Starting today, residents across 24 Welsh postcodes will see a little extra in their bank accounts thanks to the Department for Work and Pensions’ Cold Weather Payments. If the temperature dips to 0°C or below, eligible households will automatically receive £25 for each week it stays freezing. With this week’s cold snap, more than half a million households across nearly 250 postcodes are set to benefit. That’s over £13.3 million being distributed to help keep you cosy. 🏠💷

The scheme runs every year from November to March throughout the UK, ensuring support for those most affected by the cold. And it’s not just cold temperatures we’re facing! A yellow snow warning is in place from 6 pm Thursday to 12 pm Friday, with up to 20cm of snow possible in parts of Wales. 🌨️
