**Community Alert: Missing Person in Cardigan**
A major search is underway for 30-year-old Kurtis Brook, missing after reportedly entering the River Teifi near Cardigan on Sunday morning. It’s been four days, and dedicated teams are tirelessly working to bring him home.
Up and down the river, specialist officers are collaborating with drones, search dogs, the marine unit, the RNLI and the Coastguard. This enormous community effort is a testament to the strength and unity we have here in Wales.
Chief Inspector Richard Yelland of Dyfed-Powys Police is urging everyone to prioritise their own safety and steer clear of the riverbanks. “We’ve had well-meaning individuals trying to assist on their own, but this may jeopardise the ongoing operation,” he said. Any areas deemed safe for public searching will be communicated by the police.
Kurtis’ loved ones are receiving ongoing support from officers, who are in touch regularly to keep them informed. The entire community rallies behind them in this difficult time, hoping for a positive outcome.
