Up and down the river, specialist officers are collaborating with drones, search dogs, the marine unit, the RNLI and the Coastguard. This enormous community effort is a testament to the strength and unity we have here in Wales.

Chief Inspector Richard Yelland of Dyfed-Powys Police is urging everyone to prioritise their own safety and steer clear of the riverbanks. “We’ve had well-meaning individuals trying to assist on their own, but this may jeopardise the ongoing operation,” he said. Any areas deemed safe for public searching will be communicated by the police.

Kurtis’ loved ones are receiving ongoing support from officers, who are in touch regularly to keep them informed. The entire community rallies behind them in this difficult time, hoping for a positive outcome.

If you have any information that could assist in the search, please don’t hesitate to contact Dyfed-Powys Police via their website, email at 101@dyfed-powys.police.uk, or by calling 101. Remember to quote reference 52 of Sunday, January 4th. Your help could be crucial.

We’re all hanging on to hope for Kurtis’ safe return. Stay aware and stay safe, Cardigan!
