A Glasgow mum’s dream of a “mummy makeover” turned into a nightmare after a £15,500 boob job went horribly wrong. Lisa Hart, 45, sought to boost her confidence after having five kids, but instead, faced a traumatic ordeal. A week after her breast surgery in May 2025, she noticed an unusual “green fluid” leaking from her right breast. Despite her concerns, the clinic reassured her it was normal. However, her symptoms worsened, eventually leading to a trip to the hospital where doctors diagnosed her with sepsis. The result? One breast implant had to be removed, leaving her with different-sized breasts and a lot of heartbreak.

Lisa’s right breast, now a B-cup, contrasts with her left, which remains a C-cup. Despite the physical impact, it’s the emotional toll that hits hardest. Lisa now battles anxiety, angina, and a significant dent in her self-esteem. “All I wanted was to feel womanly,” she admits, adding that she misses her pre-surgery body immensely. The stress of her experience has even prompted medical treatment for stress-induced angina.

With her journey far from over, Lisa’s plea is for women to be cautious and for clinics to be accountable. “I’m lucky to be alive,” she reflects, urging others to embrace their natural bodies. Her tale isn’t just one of caution but also a powerful reminder of self-love. She hopes her story will serve as a warning and motivate others to think twice before going under the knife.
