🚨 House in Flames After Electric Scooter Explosion! 🚨
A heart-wrenching scene unfolded for a family in Dinas Powys, Vale of Glamorgan, after their home was ravaged by a fire early Friday morning. 😔 The Buckler family of six awoke to chaos when an electric scooter’s battery exploded in their hallway, setting their house ablaze within just eight minutes.
Quick-thinking and bravery got them out in time, but not without injury. Matthew Buckler, his wife, and their four children had to make a rapid escape—some through a door, others literally out the window! One of the children even hurt her ankle in the process. They spent hours in the hospital and are currently staying with relatives as they piece together their next steps.
The fire, which emergency crews fought off using multiple engines and special equipment, left the house a total wreck. The rooms are charred, the roof is partially collapsed, and soot blankets everything inside. The front door is now just a boarded-up memory of what used to be their cosy home.
In their hour of need, the community is rallying around this stricken family. A GoFundMe page has been launched, aiming to raise £3,500 to help them rebuild their lives. Chelsea Ann Buckler, a family member, expressed their anguish on the page, saying, “This tragedy has left us all in shock and struggling to find our footing.”
