Thisara Weragalage, 37, also from Cardiff, has admitted to her murder after initially denying it. He’s also pleaded guilty to possessing a bladed article. As the case proceeds, Weragalage is being held in custody, with sentencing scheduled for February 20.
The heart-wrenching discovery was made when a passerby alerted the police. By the time paramedics arrived at the scene in South Morgan Place, Riverside, it was too late to save Nirodha. An inquest into her death has indicated it was violent and has been paused while the criminal case continues.
