In a heartbreaking twist, the biker community mourns the loss of Christopher Mark Bailey, a devoted dad from Hay-On-Wye. Christopher tragically passed away on December 19, 2025, after sustaining fatal injuries in a road accident on the A483. He was returning from a heartfelt tribute ride for 14-year-old Kyle Sieniawski’s funeral, a young boy whose battle with motor neurone disease captured the hearts of many.

Christopher, 36, was a beloved member of the Valley Commandos Powys Chapter and joined his fellow bikers in a convoy to honour Kyle. Sadly, this act of kindness ended in tragedy, leaving the community in deep sorrow.

Kyle’s family, who are reeling from this double tragedy, shared their devastation, expressing gratitude for Christopher’s generous gesture. They wrote, “Chris Bailey was a valued member of the Powys Chapter Valley Commandos. To lose his life after doing such an amazing gesture is just cruel beyond words. Our hearts are breaking for his family.”
Paul Borrington, a close friend, remembered Christopher for his infectious smile and unwavering spirit, a testament to the profound impact he made. As we hold his loved ones in our thoughts during this difficult time, it’s evident that Christopher touched many lives. The biking community has lost a cherished member, but his legacy of kindness endures. Heaven has gained one more angel too soon.
