π¬π§ **New Law Targets AI Image Misuse!**

Welsh presenter and influencer Jess Davies is speaking out after falling victim to AI-manipulated images. With her photo used without consent to create sexualised content, she’s championing the UK’s latest law cracking down on non-consensual intimate imagery. π«πΈ

Jess, from Aberystwyth, voiced her frustration at the delay in legislation, highlighting how online spaces are used to degrade women. Recently, she found an AI-generated image of herself after a chatbot was prompted to manipulate her picture.

“Over recent weeks, mostly women β including minors β have been targeted with AI tools,” she shared on Radio Wales. “It’s digital abuse, plain and simple. These tools shouldn’t be used to humiliate or harass anyone.”
She’s not alone. Another woman recently reported similar misuse of her images after just sharing gym progress photos online! πͺπ€
The UK Government is stepping up with laws against these harmful practices, but Jess urges stronger enforcement. βWe need big fines, not token ones. Itβs not a free speech issue; itβs about protecting people from image abuse.β She emphasises that quick intervention is crucial, given how accessible such technology remains.
While platforms like X claim to tackle the problem, Jess reports inconsistencies in their response, with images often remaining online after being flagged. βWhereβs the consistent safeguarding?β she asks.
And there’s more at stake β Jess reminds everyone about the real-life consequences of digital harm and the importance of speaking out. “If women can’t say they’ve been targeted, then where’s our free speech?”
