🏆 Discover the latest snooker sensation taking the scene by storm! Meet Joel Williams, the 12-year-old son of the legendary Mark Williams, who’s making waves as a prodigious talent in the snooker world. 🌟

Joel has qualified for the U18s European Snooker Championship—a whopping six years ahead of time! After dazzling performances at the Welsh Snooker U18s competition last weekend, he’s proving to be a chip off the old block. Even though he faced a tough final against 17-year-old Riley Powell, Wales’ top-ranked U18 player, Joel’s journey is just beginning.

His weekend winning streak didn’t stop there! Over at the Amlwch Snooker Club, Joel clinched the Welsh U14 series by defeating 13-year-old Noah Walker. He followed this up by winning the U16 series, cementing his place in the U16s European event too!
Proud dad, Mark Williams, a three-time World Snooker Champion, took to social media, bursting with pride: “Welsh under 14s winner today in north Wales, he’s coming for the old man!” Later adding humorously, “Ffs stop now, that’s 2 now, putting me to shame.”
Despite Mark’s first-round exit at the Masters, his excitement couldn’t be contained when speaking about Joel’s latest feats. He shared: “He gets to go to Valencia to represent Wales. It’s good for him—more experience means more improvement.”
When asked if Joel could follow in his famous footsteps, Mark joked, “I wish he picked up another sport. Golf or something sunny. But who knows? Hopefully, he can progress and one day turn pro like I did.”
Stay tuned for more updates on Joel’s exciting path in snooker! 🎱🎉
