🚨 Busted! 🚨 Police stopped a van on the M4 near Swansea and struck gold—or rather, green! Driver Elian Thana, 29, couldn’t escape the clutches of the law when officers found cannabis cultivation gear packed in the back. But the story didn’t end there. 📱 A peek into Elian’s phone revealed photos linking him to two substantial cannabis operations. 🌿

The first was in Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire, where nine rooms were dedicated to growing 201 cannabis plants. The potential haul? A whopping street value ranging between £24,000 and £88,400! Not to be outdone, a set-up in Birmingham housed 147 plants across three rooms, valued at £16,000 to £62,400. Cha-ching!
Elian claimed to be delivering items but couldn’t remember the address. 🤔 Unfortunate for him, the phone told the real story with images and videos of him at the scene of the cannabis farms.

During interviews, Elian initially said his involvement was to pay off a £10,000 medical debt owed by his family in Albania. But he later changed his story, mentioning no debt at all. Confused? Us too. 👀
With a previous conviction for similar offences, Judge Paul Hobson didn’t hold back. Thana is now facing three years behind bars, waiting to see if the Home Office will deport him back to Albania when he’s done.
A reminder that crime doesn’t pay, folks. Stay tuned for more updates! 🔍💼
