🏉 Big News in Welsh Rugby! 🏉
22-year-old Mackenzie Martin, one of Wales’ rising rugby stars, is considering a bold move to France! Currently with the Dragons on loan from Cardiff, Martin is being eyed by French Pro D2 team Beziers. While the Dragons are keen to keep him, sources hint he might be ready for a new adventure abroad! 🌍
This talented No. 8 made headlines when he debuted for Wales during the 2024 Six Nations, but game time has been scarce lately. With just four caps under his belt, a move to France would put his international career on pause due to the 25 cap rule for overseas players. 😲
Notably, Martin’s journey in rugby saw him playing for Cardiff RFC before earning his spot in the senior squad. Despite promising starts, he’s struggled with match-play opportunities, prompting a potential change of scene to reignite his career. 🔄
If he chooses to head to France, he’d join a growing list of Welsh players exploring opportunities in the French leagues. Rumour has it there’s more happening, with Ospreys’ James Fender also pondering a French move to Grenoble!
Stay tuned for the latest on whether Martin will pack his bags for France or stay to fight for his place in Welsh rugby! 🇫🇷🤔
