Snooker drama at Alexandra Palace! Neil Robertson, the snooker star from Melbourne, found himself in the hot seat after making a cheeky comment about England’s Ashes loss to Australia. Following his victory against Chris Wakelin in the Masters quarter-finals, Neil joked, “With Australia winning the Ashes, I didn’t know if I was going to get booed or cheered coming down the stairs.” And booed he was! Even a fiery “f**k you” was tossed his way by a fan, but Neil took it in stride, laughing it off with a cool “there we go.”

This isn’t the first time Neil’s poked fun at the English cricket faithful. Just last month at the UK Championship, he was at it again, playfully batting with his snooker cue case. Despite the crowd’s disapproval, Neil chuckled it off, telling the ref he almost bailed on the gag in York.

Though he played the loveable rogue, Neil did heap praise on the Ally Pally crowd, calling it “a brilliant atmosphere” and saying, “This is the best event in terms of the atmosphere that we play in.” He added how the electric vibe is inspiring, with the venue always packed to the rafters.

Up next for Neil is a semi-final face-off with Kyren Wilson. With the stage set for more snooker excitement, Neil seems ready to play his game, controversies and all. Stay tuned folks, it’s about to get even more exciting at Ally Pally! 🎱 #Snooker #NeilRobertson #MastersDrama #SnookerFans #AllyPallyBuzz
