A mum caught in the mix with her sons has found herself facing a hefty £112,000 bill following her involvement in their drug operation. Jacqueline Davies, along with Byron Davies, assisted their sons, Thomas and Jack, in laundering money through a cocaine network. The family, alongside other gang members, was hit with over 70 years of combined prison sentences.
Jacqueline, hailing from Trealaw, Tonypandy, was sentenced to two years in prison back in July 2024. The truth unravelled after her sons’ arrests in February 2021, revealing her part in their illicit dealings. She was found guilty of being involved in the supply of cocaine and facilitating the control of criminal property.
Police investigators discovered that the 61-year-old had benefited nearly £200,000 from the criminal activities. At a recent Proceeds of Crime Act hearing, it was revealed she had available assets totalling just over £112,000, which she must now repay.
Byron Davies, who received a one-year-and-seven-month suspended sentence for his involvement in facilitating the control of criminal property, also faced financial consequences. Found to have made £26,250.13, he was ordered to repay this amount, though his available assets were only £6,000.
