Cardiff City fans, rejoice! Our team has clinched a vital victory in their quest for League One promotion, pulling off a 2-1 triumph against Bradford City at Valley Parade. David Turnbull and Calum Chambers were the heroes of the day, each finding the back of the net. Turnbull kicked things off with a stunning strike, while Chambers marked his return to the starting line-up with a winner that had everyone cheering. Bradford’s Jenson Metcalfe tried to dampen our spirits with a goal just before the hour, but the Bluebirds held strong.

In the player ratings, our standout performer was undoubtedly Calum Chambers, who not only scored but also held his own defensively throughout the match. Nathan Trott had a quiet day in goal but exuded confidence when called upon. Meanwhile, Perry Ng and Gabriel Osho impressed in defence, with Osho making a crucial block to keep us in the lead. Joel Bagan’s awareness in both defence and attack caught the eye, while Ryan Wintle provided some solid passes despite a few wobbles in possession.

Alex Robertson shone with his interceptions, and Ollie Tanner delivered two assists before running out of steam in the closing stages. Chris Willock and Yousef Salech may not have found the net, but their efforts were commendable, especially Salech’s dominance in the air.

Kudos to our subs who stepped up when needed! Joel Colwill filled in admirably, with Cian Ashford and Isaak Davies making their mark. Callum Robinson offered a steady presence late on, and Will Fish’s late block was nothing short of heroic.
