Snooker fans, have you heard what happened at the Masters final? π± Kyren Wilson, the talented ex-world champion, had a bit of a blunder before his big match against John Higgins at Ally Pally. Just before they got started, Wilson moved to break off too early, forgetting the all-important coin toss! π
Luckily, the quick-thinking referee, Tatiana Woollaston, stepped in to keep things on track.

The match had its fair share of drama. Wilson was initially caught off-guard and lost the first frame to Higgins, but he bounced back to win the second. Amidst all the excitement, a medical issue briefly paused the game. But Wilson managed to pull ahead with a 4-3 lead.
Speaking of the referee, Tatiana Woollaston isnβt just known for her professionalism; she’s also married to World Snooker Tour player Ben Woollaston. Though she can’t referee his matches due to regulations, she’s a prominent figure in the snooker world, officiating her second Triple Crown final at this event.

Tatiana shared her thoughts on the unique mix of her professional and personal life: “We’re both on the circuit, but we keep it separate. I don’t officiate his games, and that’s the way we like it.”
As a proud mother of two and a respected referee, Tatiana enjoys her role in these prestigious events. She was thrilled to be part of the Masters, a notable event not just for players but also for those in her role. π
