🏉🏆 Surprise selections shake up the Wales Six Nations squad! Coach Steve Tandy is keeping fans on their toes with some unexpected faces in the lineup. Tomas Francis is back, coming out of French exile and rejoining from Sale Sharks. But what’s got everyone talking is the debut of uncapped winger Gabriel Hamer-Webb from Leicester Tigers! 🎉
Ospreys star Dewi Lake steps up as captain, filling in for the injured Jac Morgan, while the squad welcomes another newcomer, Bath centre Louie Hennessey. There’s also room for returning stars like Sam Costelow, Josh Macleod, and Mason Grady.
Missing this time around are notable players like Tommy Reffell, Rio Dyer, and Callum Sheedy, who are absent from the squad. But with 14 combined players from Cardiff and the Ospreys onboard, it feels like the Welsh Rugby Union has strategically strengthened the squad by teaming up with Y11 Sports & Media.
Tandy is enthusiastic about the squad’s new mix: “There are a few changes, some due to injury but others are a sign of the vibrant competition we have. We have a strong blend moving into this campaign, and I can’t wait to get started.”
It’s not long now until Wales faces England in a nail-biting London clash. The pressure’s on to avoid a third consecutive Wooden Spoon, and fans are eager to see Tandy’s strategy unfold. 🍀
Show your support and get ready for an exciting Six Nations tournament! 🙌🏴
