Heartbreaking news from Thailand: The body of missing 21-year-old Brit, Joshua Kershaw, has been found. Joshua, who was from Grimsby, was last seen in the bustling tourist town of Pattaya on January 12. He was due to return to the UK on January 19, but sadly never made his flight.

His mum, Jenny, shared the devastating update on Facebook, saying: “As much as my heart is breaking right now. We have now located Josh. But unfortunately, he was not alive. We are now trying to get his body back to the UK.”

The search for Joshua gripped many, with family and friends launching appeals and a GoFundMe campaign in the hope of bringing him home safely. Jenny’s heartfelt message has prompted an outpouring of condolences and support. “So sorry Jen, thinking of you all right now. Been thinking of you all week, was praying he was safe. So sad, RIP Josh,” reads one message. Another adds: “Absolutely heart breaking Jen. Thinking of you, your beautiful girls and family! Sending you all so much love.”
Joshua’s case was treated as a high-risk missing person incident by UK authorities after he failed to contact his family following his arrival in Thailand. The last known contact was a FaceTime call with his mum after checking into his hotel. Since then, communication had ceased, sparking alarm and prompting the family to do everything in their power to locate him.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Joshua’s family and friends during this tremendously difficult time. Let’s all remember Joshua and extend our support to his loved ones. ❤️
