Brace yourselves, Wales! ❄️ A chilly surprise is on its way as a major cold front sweeps across the country, bringing potential snow to seven Welsh cities. Forecasters predict up to 15cm in some parts, especially on higher ground.

According to WXCHARTS, the white and purple patches on the map show snow blanketing the region, with West and Mid-Wales bracing for the heaviest flurries. While North Wales might experience slightly less, we’re still talking about around 10cm of the white stuff!

From Swansea to Wrexham, and Cardiff to Bangor, cities across the nation could see snow by Tuesday, 27th January. Prepare for potentially hazardous travel as snowfall is expected to intensify by the evening.
And it doesn’t stop at Wales! The snow could stretch as far south as Somerset, creating winter wonderland scenes across multiple regions. 🌨️
The Met Office has chimed in, warning of colder conditions from January 26 to February 4. Weather systems moving in from the Atlantic are likely to bring spells of rain and icy showers, with the best chance of dry spells in the far north.
Amidst all this, let’s stay safe and stay warm. Keep those snow boots ready and let’s enjoy the beauty (and chaos!) that a snow day brings! Stay tuned for more updates as this frosty front approaches. 🌬️✨
