Meet James Bray, a passionate Emma Raducanu fan who went viral for his spirited support, earning her nickname ‘Raddo’. But things took a turn when James was ejected for being ‘too rowdy’!

James grabbed headlines after Emma’s match earlier this week and she even invited him to all her matches after he caught her attention with his excited shouts. But during another match, supporting Alex de Minaur, his enthusiastic cheering crossed the line for some, leading to complaints and the police being called in.

Despite receiving multiple warnings, James’s fun-loving support was deemed too disruptive, resulting in his removal and a $700 fine. He chronicled the whole saga on Instagram, from the moment police arrived to his surprise at being asked to leave, maintaining a light-hearted attitude throughout.

“I paid $700 for this!” James quipped, making the saga memorable with his humour. Though he felt he wasn’t overstepping, security had a different view. “It was just cheering!” he explained, surprised at the turn of events as security escorted him out.
