🚆 Attention, travellers! Major disruption alert! 🚆

Prepare for some changes if you’re travelling in Wales soon. Due to essential refurbishment on the Landore Viaduct, there won’t be any trains running between Port Talbot Parkway and Swansea for 11 days! This impacts both Great Western Railway and Transport for Wales services from January 26th to February 6th, with buses replacing trains on affected routes.

Key routes impacted:
📍 Great Western Railway:

– London Paddington to Swansea/Carmarthen services will only go as far as Port Talbot.
– Weekend buses will run between Cardiff Central/Bridgend and Swansea.
📍 Transport for Wales:
– Limited services between Cardiff Central and Carmarthen via Llangennech in mornings/evenings.
– Services between Manchester Piccadilly/Cardiff Central and Swansea/Carmarthen rerouted to Port Talbot.
– Northbound services on the Heart of Wales Line impacted around Llanelli.
Plan ahead, as some routes may have additional alterations. If you’re heading to or from Gowerton, be ready to switch buses due to restrictions at low bridges. Stay savvy, check schedules, and expect busier journeys than usual.
