The beloved Bryngwyn Newydd Pub & Steakhouse is closing its doors for good after over 20 years! 💔 The iconic spot announced the news on social media, turning what was initially a temporary pause into a permanent farewell.
In a heartfelt message, The Bryngwyn team shared: “We’re saddened to announce our temporary closure will be permanent. Thank you to our wonderful staff and customers for making these years memorable.”
The announcement follows their temporary closure earlier this month due to rising costs and the quiet post-holiday period. The last meals were enjoyed on New Year’s Day, marking the end of an era for Llanelli locals.
The Bryngwyn Newydd was part of the Seager family’s restaurant group, alongside The Grillhouse and No.1 High Street. Fans have flooded social media with memories and gratitude, expressing their love for the venue. One regular wrote, “Very sad to see this pub go, many happy memories. It’s been a big part of Pwll throughout the years. Wishing the family the best, and I’ll visit the sister restaurants soon.”
