Last year, I found myself at Sainsbury’s a whopping 385 times! What keeps drawing me back to the aisles? Surprisingly, it’s the humble satsuma. My Nectar card revealed I was the top satsuma buyer in town—who knew? 🤔

Living just five minutes away from Sainsbury’s, my shopping habits lean more towards quick, frequent trips rather than one big weekly haul. Although there’s an Aldi nearby, Sainsbury’s wins me over with its top-notch fruit quality. My husband, a fruit fanatic, seems to be perpetually snacking on a mix of oranges, berries, and apples. We’ve both noticed that Sainsbury’s fruit offers superior flavour and lasting freshness compared to its rival.

But don’t get me wrong, I’m all for balancing quality and savings. Luckily, Aldi’s new fresh bakery section is a game-changer. The smell of freshly baked bread and pastries is irresistible—and their prices are too. I definitely gravitate towards Aldi for baked goods and can’t resist grabbing a caramel doughnut on my way to the till.

This year, I’m tackling the challenge of shopping smart: savouring Sainsbury’s fruit while dipping into Aldi for other treasures. After all, variety is the spice of shopping! 🍊🍞
