Exciting news for Tenby! 🎉 The picturesque town’s historic sailing club has just received the green light for some changes that promise to enhance its charm. Nestled right in the heart of Tenby Harbour, the sailing club is part of what many cherish as Tenby’s iconic view.

So, what’s changing? Plans involve adding a couple of new windows on the second floor, perfectly positioned to improve observation of the harbour and bay—ideal for those yacht races! 🚤 These new features are designed to match the existing windows, ensuring the character of the beloved listed building is preserved.

The proposal received enthusiastic support from both the Tenby Town Council and the Tenby Civic Society. They’re all about maintaining the building’s heritage while adding something fresh and functional for the community.
The sailing club’s building, with a history dating back to around 1825, has worn many hats over the years—from wine storage to fishermen’s workshops, and since 1936, home to the sailing club. It’s a site brimming with stories and salty sea air.
This project promises to maintain the mercantile charm of the area and underline Tenby’s identity as a vibrant coastal town. Cheers to more incredible views and keeping our connections with the sea alive! 🌊
