With quick action, officers were dispatched, and the wayward HGV was tracked eastbound on the A48 between Carmarthen and Cross Hands. Thanks to a joint effort with South Wales Police TPAC and the National Police Air Service, the lorry was closely monitored as it made its way along the A48 and M4.

The journey finally came to an end at an industrial estate in Fforestfach, Swansea. The 22-year-old driver was promptly arrested on suspicion of driving while disqualified and immigration offences. The vehicle has been seized, and the investigation is ongoing.
