🚗💨 Time to Fill ‘er Up, Folks! 🤑

Heads up, drivers! Petrol prices in the UK have plunged to their lowest levels since 2021. You might want to top up your tanks this Friday. Currently, a litre costs an average of 131.91p. Save yourself nearly £3 with each full tank for a typical 55-litre family car. ⛽️

The drop in price is thanks to a dip in oil costs, falling below $60 a barrel for the first time since early 2021. Diesel users have also seen prices slide by 3p per litre since the new year kicked off.

RAC’s Simon Williams calls this a “genuine boost” for drivers as prices rewind to the rates we’ve not seen in over four years.
But here’s the kicker: January’s price drop could’ve been bigger if retailers had passed on all their savings from reduced wholesale costs. 😬
Meanwhile, the Competition and Markets Authority has raised eyebrows over the growing profit margins at fuel retailers. Their recent report suggests competition might not be as fierce as it could be, with margins rising beyond operating costs.
So, head to your local pump for those sweet savings and maybe keep a close eye on where you fill up. Every penny counts! 💷✨ #FuelSavings #DriveSmart #UKDriving
