๐พ Emma Raducanu is on the hunt for a new coach after parting ways with Francisco Roig post-Australian Open. Andy Murray, tennis legend and double Wimbledon champ, has already shown interest in guiding the young British star. ๐

Raducanu, aged 23, announced that her split with Roig was mutually agreed, expressing gratitude for his invaluable support both on and off the court. Now, she’s searching for her next mentor to help her climb the tennis ranks once again.

Murray hinted at his interest back in 2022, mentioning Raducanu as someone he’d be delighted to mentor. Though he’s said he wonโt go far from London for the job, heโs clearly open to a British-based role. He previously had plans to team up with Raducanu for mixed doubles at Wimbledon, but a wrist injury changed those plans.
After retiring in 2024, Murray dipped his toes into coaching with Novak Djokovic, gaining unique insights in the process. He has one main condition for future roles: staying close to home. He wants to spend more time with family, so a London-based player would be ideal for him. ๐
While Murray recognises the coaching potential and has expressed interest, he’s not in a rush. Until the right opportunity comes up, heโs focused on family life but remains open to offering advice to young up-and-coming players privately. ๐ค
