Conservative Councillor John Lancaster has raised alarm bells, urging for more robust measures to combat what he describes as a takeover by “selfish anti-social pot heads.” He suggests implementing a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) to create a cleaner and more welcoming environment for everyone.
Councillor Calum Davies backs this, painting a stark picture of how the city has become a “no-go zone” for many residents, especially on weekends when families are out and about. 🔐👨👩👧👦
On the flip side, Councillor Rodney Berman (Liberal Democrat) warned against rushing into a decision that could lead to oppressive enforcement, while Labour’s Bernie Bowen-Thomson believes the Conservative approach could miss the mark.
