Naming your baby is one of the biggest decisions you’ll ever make, but fresh research suggests that certain once-popular boys’ names might soon be a rare find in playgrounds. According to a study by Personalisedbee, names like Brody, Mason, and Toby are slipping quickly down the popularity charts and might fall out of the top 100 by 2026. 😱

In a fast-paced drop, Brody has slid 17 spots in just a year, moving from 82nd to 99th place, with only 553 babies named Brody in 2024 compared to 630 in 2023. Mason is also on the decline, dropping from 50th to 63rd and going from 1,118 babies in 2023 to just 806 in 2024. Toby, another classic, fell 10 places in the rankings. 📉

Prashant, a naming expert from Personalisedbee, explains that baby names are much like fashion trends: “They rise when they’re fresh and modern, but as quickly as styles change, so do naming preferences.” With parents now seeking something new and unique, it seems some favourites from the past few years are deemed ‘out of style’. 🤔
