In a truly moving story, Lindsey Burrow has shared a heartfelt message her late husband, rugby league legend Rob Burrow, left her to hear after he passed away. With a voice recording made using special equipment, Rob urged Lindsey to find happiness and love again, even as she continues to navigate life without him.

Rob, who bravely battled motor neurone disease (MND), showed his selflessness one last time with this touching gesture. Lindsey admitted it was an emotional hurdle to finally listen to the message but did so in honour of Rob’s memory and his wish for her to keep living life with joy.
The couple, who met as teenagers, shared a bond that remained unbreakable for more than two decades. Even in his darkest days, Rob used an eye-controlled computer to send Lindsey messages like “I love you darling” and “I can’t wait to see you,” continuously supporting her and their family.

While Lindsey embraces the beautiful memories of her life with Rob, she confesses that moving on just isn’t on her radar. Her main focus remains on their children: Macy, 14, Maya, 10, and Jackson, 7, who are yet to hear the messages Rob left for them. Lindsey believes they’ll listen when the time feels right.

Despite facing immense heartache, Lindsey draws strength from the life lessons Rob imparted—cherishing each day and prioritising happiness. As she puts it, “Rob was my one true love and always will be.” Their inspiring love story stands as a testament to living in the moment and finding resilience amid life’s greatest challenges.
