Get ready, Wales! Snow is on its way this week, according to the latest Met Office forecasts. The weather maps show snow is set to make an appearance on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, with mid Wales likely to see a fair bit of the white stuff. But don’t put away the umbrellas just yet, as heavy rain showers are also expected across the country.

From Tuesday, a band of rain moves north, bringing heavy downpours and strong winds, especially along the coast and over hills. As temperatures drop, snow will spread, particularly in north and mid Wales, and may move further south near Merthyr Tydfil by nightfall.

Wednesday offers a brief respite with a mostly bright and dry day, although early morning snow may linger in north Wales before clearing. But hold onto your hats, because by Thursday, conditions turn chilly and unsettled again. Morning may start clear, but more snow is forecast for the afternoon and evening, accompanied by breezy conditions. Some areas in north, mid, and south Wales might experience heavier snowfall.
The weekend forecast remains uncertain, but don’t be surprised if snow pops up again on Friday, especially in the morning hours. So, whether you’re a fan of the frosty weather or prefer it mild, stay updated and plan your week accordingly! ❄️🌧️
