Her first stop was Melin Tregwynt, a picturesque mill nestled in a wooded valley on the Pembrokeshire coast. Known for its traditional Welsh designs, the mill has been crafting beautiful woollen items since 1841. Princess Kate chatted with director Louise Clarke and watched skilled weavers in action, learning the art of Welsh double cloth weaving.

Then it was on to Hiut Denim, a family-owned brand renowned for its sustainable approach to jean-making. Here, Kate rolled up her sleeves and got involved in the production process, even crafting a pair of jeans for Prince William! Hiut Denim, which boasts a clientele including the Arctic Monkeys, is on a mission to revive jean-making traditions in Cardigan—a town with a rich history of denim production.
