Gerwyn Price, the former darts world champ, is taking a bold step into the world of farming! After scoring big with his successful chip shop, Chippy 501, in his hometown of Markham, he’s just bought a farm in Treharris. And get this – his farming journey might soon be hitting our screens!
While he’s made it clear it won’t be exactly like Clarkson’s Farm, Gerwyn’s teased plans for a TV series centred on the farm’s renovation. He’s all set to capture the transformation process on camera, possibly for a documentary or TV series. Gerwyn mentioned on the Tops and Tales podcast that if the series doesn’t pan out, he might just share the whole project on YouTube. It looks like we’ll have front-row seats to the entire transformation over the next 12–18 months!
Gerwyn dreams of having a quiet retreat where he can keep a few chickens and other small animals, diving into a laid-back farm life when he eventually retires. His decision comes from wanting a tad more privacy, especially after the influx of attention from his popular chip shop, right next to his home.
Despite all the buzz around his business ventures, Gerwyn has been doing pretty well in the darts world too. He kicked off 2026 with a bang, making it to the World Masters semi-finals and taking home a cool £30K. 👏🎯
