π Tragedy in Blaenavon π

The sports world is in shock after the tragic death of beloved boxer and MMA fighter Duane Keen, 47. In the early hours of October 17, Keen was found with serious injuries at a home on Riverside Drive, Blaenavon, and sadly passed away shortly after.
Kai Pennell, 35, has admitted to the murder of Duane in a court appearance at Cardiff Crown Court. He also confessed to destroying a white Suzuki Swift but denied making a threat to kill. Sentencing is expected on February 24, and only a life sentence is on the table.

The night of the incident saw a dramatic response from armed police, paramedics, and the Wales Air Ambulance, as the usually quiet street was transformed into a bustling crime scene.
Duane’s family remembers him as a top-notch athlete with a heart of gold. “He was always there for anyone in need and cherished his moments with his dogs,” they shared. “Duane, you were not just a champ in the ring but in our hearts too.”
As the community mourns, we hold onto fond memories of Duane’s influence both inside and outside the ring. πΉ
