The cup pays tribute to the legendary Massimo Cuttitta, a former Italian captain and iconic prop with 69 caps for Italy. After hanging up his boots, he went on to transform Scotland’s scrummaging prowess as their coach. His untimely passing in April 2021 at the age of 54 due to COVID-19 complications left a lasting impact on the rugby world.
