A missing teen’s story took a dramatic turn in Cardiff! Ricardo Spriggs, 19, was caught up in a whirlwind of events that ended with him behind bars. When police initially went searching for him after he was reported missing, they found more than expected. They discovered Class A drugs, including heroin and crack cocaine, hidden under his duvet.
Despite claiming he was coerced into dealing by threats of violence, Spriggs was arrested multiple times. In one incident, he was spotted with known drug users while on a bicycle and tried to hide a package of crack cocaine, but officers were quick on the scene.
Facing charges for possessing and intending to supply drugs, Spriggs pleaded guilty. The court revealed he had a challenging journey, battling homelessness and a cocaine addiction. Once of good character and left school at 15 without qualifications, the teen found himself embroiled in a life each step pulled him in deeper.
Though his defence described his difficult background, the judge sentenced Spriggs to two years in a young offender institute. With the prospect of becoming a father soon, the hope is he can turn his life around. Here’s wishing him better days ahead! 🌟
