Heartbreaking news as we remember a beloved member of the Cheshire Police, PC Alice Mayo, who tragically lost her life in a crash. The 29-year-old, described as “beautiful inside and out,” was driving her blue Fiat 500 when she was involved in a collision with a white Land Rover Defender. Despite the efforts, Alice sadly passed away at the scene.
Alice had served in the police force for over six years, dedicating her life to helping others. Her family describes her as a daughter, sister, auntie, niece, dog-mum to Ned the Cocker Spaniel, and friend to many. They express their deep sorrow, recognising the huge void her passing leaves behind but cherishing her legacy of laughter and sunshine.

The incident happened on the A534 Spark Lane in Arclid, and a 77-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, though he has since been released on conditional bail.
