What a tale of puppy power! Gillian Hearne from Swansea couldn’t believe her eyes when her exuberant nine-month-old German shepherd, Koda, managed to knock the French patio doors completely off their hinges. Talk about making an entrance! Gillian likened Koda’s excitement to a “bull in a china shop” when all he wanted was a romp in the garden.
With a cheeky grin and a wagging tail, Koda greeted the startled Gillian who was just getting ready to take him for a walk. As she turned her back to grab his lead, the enthusiastic pup couldn’t hold back any longer and took matters (and doors) into his own paws.
Apparently, Koda’s fondness for flinging the door open is nothing new. He’s been a door pusher ever since he joined the family. This time, the hinges couldn’t handle his excitement and popped right off—freedom achieved! Lucky for Gillian, a local company is on board to fix the door. They couldn’t resist a chuckle either, claiming they’d never seen a dog do such a thing before.
Despite the havoc, Gillian wouldn’t trade her furry friend for anything. “Even though he does cause carnage, I’d never get rid of him, ever,” she said. After all, Koda’s just a puppy, and like all German shepherds, he’s a ball of loyalty and energy, requiring patience and lots of exercise.
