A major rescue operation unfolded today in Pembrokeshire when three climbers found themselves in trouble at the stunning St Govan’s Head. The Coastguard teams were called into action around 4pm, with units from Fishguard, St Govans, and Tenby rushing to the scene. Props to the HM Coastguard, Irish Coastguard helicopters, Wales Air Ambulance, and RNLI lifeboat—everyone was on the move to help!
Known for its breathtaking cliffs and the charming 13th-century St Govan’s Chapel tucked into the rocks, this spot is a beloved destination for climbers and sightseers. The situation reminded many of the urgent response last August when a climber was airlifted to safety after a fall at nearby Saddle Head.
