🎯 Big upset in the world of darts! 🎯
Michael van Gerwen has been forced to withdraw from tonight’s Premier League Darts match in Glasgow due to illness. The three-time world champion and seven-time Premier League winner had been on a roll, having triumphed on Night One in Newcastle and finishing as runner-up in Antwerp. However, this medical issue has thrown a spanner in the works. 🤒
The silver lining for Luke Littler—he moves straight into the semi-finals with a bye, gaining two league points and a +1 leg difference. Not too shabby, considering he faced van Gerwen just last week and lost 6-4 in Belgium. 🏆
Littler, just 19 and already a two-time world champion, will now wait to see who he’ll face next—the victor of the Welsh showdown between Jonny Clayton and Gerwyn Price. Clayton currently sits third with four points, while Price, who recently showcased some impressive skills in Wigan, is in second place with five, just behind van Gerwen. 🇳🇱🏴
Who will rise to the occasion tonight? Stay tuned! 🎯 #Darts #PremierLeagueDarts #vanGerwen #LukeLittler #GerwynPrice #JonnyClayton
