Heads up, folks! If you’re under the care of the Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board, you might want to take note of this. Due to ongoing industrial action by some health visitors over pay disputes, expect some disruptions over the next four weeks. Starting Monday, February 23, through to Friday, March 20, some routine appointments are being cancelled to prioritise urgent and complex care.

Here’s the deal: Health visitors are striking in response to an £8,000-£9,000 pay band shortfall, and while the health board is doing everything it can to keep things running smoothly, some services are taking a hit. The primary focus right now is making sure families with urgent needs get the care they require.

Got a routine appointment? It’s a good idea to check if it’s affected. And if you’re trying to reach out, the usual contact methods may not be fully operational—we recommend calling 01443 803930 or shooting an email to CTM.SPOAHealthVisiting@wales.nhs.uk for any health visiting service inquiries.
