🌄 Tragic Discovery in Eryri National Park 🌄
In a heartbreaking incident, two young men were found dead in Eryri National Park, known to many as Snowdonia. The discovery followed extensive search efforts sparked by concerns for their well-being.
Eddie Hill, 20, and Jayden Long, 19, from Dereham, Norfolk, had been on an expedition when the alarm was raised on 18th February. Multiple rescue teams, including Llanberis and Aberglaslyn Mountain Rescue Teams, the RAF, and SARDA, came together to search Yr Wyddfa’s challenging terrains. Sadly, their bodies were found and recovered after thorough search operations.
Our hearts go out to their families, who have been informed. The community pours in tributes, acknowledging the vibrant spirits of these young adventurers and expressing gratitude to the rescue teams who faced tough conditions.
Rest in peace, Eddie and Jayden. Your journey has ended too soon, but you are forever in our thoughts. 🕊️💔
