Kamran Aman was a dedicated husband, loving father, and a caring son. Tragically, what started as an ordinary night in a Welsh town turned into a nightmare. After delivering shopping to his mum, Kamran met an untimely death at the hands of racist thugs who had been drinking and spewing hate.
Kamran’s life was cut short in a violent, unprovoked attack by two teenage boys. These attackers, filled with irrational rage, targeted Kamran simply for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. His only crime? Being a good son and embracing his identity.
The boys, one just 16, had been anger-fuelled and looking for trouble. Kamran’s simple act of getting into his car was all it took to trigger the teens’ senseless violence. In a matter of moments, hateful words and a deadly stab ended his life.
Kamran’s wife, Khaleela, remembers him as having a “larger-than-life personality” and an incredibly big heart. He was not only her husband but her soulmate and a devoted father who adored their 4-year-old daughter.
In court, the teens showed no remorse as they were sentenced to life imprisonment. But for Kamran’s family, the pain and loss are eternal. They face a future forever altered, holding on to cherished memories.
Detective Inspector Kath Barry said: “Kamran’s senseless murder was further marred by the abhorrent racist abuse hurled at him. Our thoughts remain with his family.”
