Cardiff City faces a setback as their star striker Yousef Salech has flown back to Denmark due to personal family matters. Unfortunately, this means he’ll miss the upcoming clash against Doncaster Rovers. Salech had already been out for a month with a neck ligament injury, and his absence could be felt as the Bluebirds aim to bounce back after last weekend’s heavy defeat to Plymouth Argyle.
Head coach Brian Barry-Murphy remains hopeful about Salech’s quick return, expecting him back early next week to continue his recovery. In another blow, midfielder David Turnbull is out for this weekend’s game due to a hamstring issue he picked up against Plymouth. Barry-Murphy assures fans it’s not serious, and Turnbull should be back in training soon.
On the brighter side, Isaak Davies is set for a comeback after clearing concussion protocols. He’s trained fully this week and, fingers crossed, will be ready for action.
Cardiff’s journey to Doncaster comes with the memory of a thrilling 4-3 encounter earlier this season. Barry-Murphy knows it’ll be another intense matchup, noting Doncaster’s attacking talents and recent successes. It’s a big game, and the Bluebirds are excited to take on the challenge.
