🏆 Remember Robert Milkins’ incredible Welsh Open triumph just three years ago? The champ who conquered legends Shaun Murphy, Mark Selby, and Mark Allen is now unexpectedly battling snooker relegation! 🎱

Since that 2023 victory, things have been rocky for “The Milkman”. The 49-year-old just missed the 2026 Welsh Open after losing to young talent Liam Pullen in the qualifiers. His ranking has taken a hit, dropping as low as 74th before making a brief comeback with a good run at the Xi’an Grand Prix.
As it stands, he’s clinging to his tour card, currently at 60th place. Players outside the top 64 must face the tough Q-School to get back on tour. Milkins has openly admitted he’s been “a bit lazy” and vows to fight his way back. *”I won’t quit,”* he says confidently. 😤

Despite this, Milkins remains determined. *”If I fall off, I’ll go straight to Q School. But that ain’t gonna happen, anyway,”* he declared, aiming to win again before the season’s end.
Meanwhile, the 2026 Welsh Open semi-finals are heating up! Wu Yize clashes with Barry Hawkins, while snooker veteran John Higgins faces off with Northern Ireland Open champ Jack Lisowski. If Lisowski triumphs over Higgins, he bags a £150,000 bonus for topping the Home Nations Series. Milkins knows that feeling all too well, having won the series back in 2023.
