🌍 **Explosions Rock Cyprus Amidst Middle East Tensions!**
Things are heating up at a popular Brit holiday spot, as “explosions” ring out across Cyprus following a drone strike on RAF Akrotiri. This unexpected turn has thrown travel plans into chaos, with major airlines like EasyJet and BA cancelling UK-Cyprus flights. 🇨🇾✈️
Travellers, stay updated! Rory Boland from Which? Travel advises anyone booked to Cyprus not to cancel their plans immediately. Instead, wait for official updates from airlines and the UK Foreign Office, which might offer refunds or alternate routes.
This escalation comes after the UK granted the US permission to use British bases for strikes against Iran. However, not everyone is on the same page—President Trump has expressed his frustration over the delay in this cooperation.
Meanwhile, Israel continues its military operations, targeting areas in Tehran and Beirut. In response, Hezbollah struck back at Israeli sites, intensifying the conflict further. 💥
UK nationals in the Middle East are urged to remain cautious, as airspace closures and ongoing attacks create uncertainty. Though some lucky Brits have managed to get flights back to the UK, the situation is still very fluid.
As the tension rises, President Trump is set to issue a statement today. Stay informed and prioritize your safety if you’re in the region! 🗞️🔍
