Heartfelt tributes are pouring in for David Rogers, a cherished 58-year-old dad-of-four whose untimely death has led to a murder investigation in Pencoed. Known fondly as “Disco Dave,” David was a passionate family man from Bridgend who lived life to the fullest. His family described him as a proud father to Aaron, Cory, Kane, and Saul, a beloved son and brother, and a devoted uncle.

David shared a special bond with his partner Abbie, who expressed, “He was loved by all who knew him. My person, my forever, my best friend.” Together, their family faces an irreplaceable loss and a journey of grief ahead. “We don’t even know how to begin to move on without him,” said Abbie, highlighting the enduring love and memories David left behind.

David’s joy for life took him on adventures abroad and rounds of golf at the Vale Resort, but it was his love for family that stood out most. Community, friends, and those whose lives he touched will miss him dearly.
The sombre news was confirmed by police, who have charged Liam Walters, 26, with David’s murder. As the investigation continues, officers are appealing for anyone who was around Felindre Road, Pencoed, during the early hours of February 28 to come forward with any information.
David’s family is receiving support during this difficult time. His legacy of love and family devotion will forever be remembered by all fortunate enough to have known him. 💔
