Get ready for some potential big changes in Wales! Reform UK is shaking things up with their Senedd election manifesto. They’re focused on putting “Wales first” and have some bold pledges. If elected, they promise to scrap international aid, ditch the 20mph speed limits, and build that long-awaited M4 relief road. Plus, they plan upgrades to the A55.

They’re also prioritising Welsh residents for social housing and stopping the use of migrant hotels in local communities. Reform is keen on supporting the Welsh language and addressing the cost of living by proposing a 5% cap on council tax hikes, a review of business rates, and a ‘tax lock’ to prevent new levies.

Healthcare won’t be overlooked either. They’re committed to a fully free NHS, trimming down those waiting lists, and ending ‘corridor care’ while enhancing hospitals and digital infrastructure.
And for our farmers, there are plans to reform the Sustainable Farming Scheme, letting them focus on farming, with a fresh 10-year food strategy.
Leader Dan Thomas is calling this manifesto “a blueprint for real change” in Wales, with Nigel Farage describing the plans as both “ambitious and realistic.” With polling indicating Reform could become the biggest party in Cardiff Bay, it seems they might just be onto something major.
What do you think of Reform’s plans? Could this be the change Wales is looking for? Share your thoughts and let’s get the conversation started!
