Rugby trips can be full of surprises! Derek Mouncher, 66, was all set to cheer for Wales in Dublin when he realised he’d left his essential heart medication in Cardiff. Panic set in as he reached Heathrow, knowing it was impossible to get back in time for the flight without missing his first international match in years.

Enter his daughter, Libby, who simply wouldn’t let him miss out. Without hesitation, she sprang into action. “Don’t worry, I can be there by 2pm,” she promised. Booking the next available Aer Lingus flight from Cardiff to Dublin, Libby’s determination paid off. She landed just a couple of hours after her dad, hand-delivering his medication and sleep apnoea mask.

Derek was over the moon with Libby’s quick thinking and dedication. “She’s fantastic,” he said proudly. Thanks to this heart-warming act, Derek can enjoy the match without worry, all because of his daughter’s incredible effort. Don’t you love a story with a hero in the family?
