🚁 Major Rescue Mission on Welsh Coast! 🏖️

A dramatic rescue unfolded this weekend in beautiful Pembrokeshire. A person needing urgent help was airlifted off the coast after being discovered on a secluded path at Swanlake Bay. Suffering from suspected hypothermia, swift action from multiple emergency services ensured their safety.

Two lifeboats from Tenby RNLI were launched at lightning speed around 9.10am, working alongside the HM Coastguard, Dyfed-Powys Police, and the Welsh Ambulance Service. Navigating the challenging surf, crew members reached the stranded individual with vital medical supplies.

The initial plan to extract via the sea was abandoned due to the size of the swell. Marines decided, given the challenging terrain, the best option was air rescue. The coastguard helicopter swooped in, landing expertly on the beach to airlift the casualty and medics to a waiting ambulance on higher ground.
Tenby RNLI shared the heartening success of the rescue, thanking the collaboration of all involved—truly showcasing teamwork at its finest! 🌊🚑
Everything wrapped up smoothly with the rescue mission concluding around 11.25am. Hats off to our coastal heroes! 👏
Stay safe, everyone! 🌟
