🌍🏉 Rugby fans, are we seeing some dodgy officiating in the Six Nations? Former Test referee Owen Doyle thinks Wales certainly are! 😬

In recent clashes against Scotland and Ireland, Doyle argues that key decisions tipped the scales against Wales. For instance, he claims Scotland’s late winning try in Cardiff should’ve been disallowed due to illegal play, and yet, the officials missed it! 🤦♂️

Fast forward to our bout with Ireland, and Doyle points out more controversial calls. Remember when our scrum-half Tomos Williams was sent to the sin bin? Doyle believes that was unfair and that Ireland’s captain, Caelan Doris, got lucky avoiding a yellow card despite multiple infractions. 🟨🤔
Doyle also questioned the legitimacy of Jack Conan’s try. According to him, Irish hooker Rónan Kelleher might have illegally blocked a Welsh defender. But the referee saw things differently! 🤷♂️
These contentious calls have undoubtedly fuelled the narrative that Wales is getting a rough deal. Coach Steve Tandy has echoed similar sentiments, suggesting our poor results might be skewing refs’ decisions against us. It seems, despite improved discipline, the rugby gods aren’t smiling on us! 😤
In our nail-biter against Scotland, another debatable call reversed a potential game-winning penalty for us. Who knew one ‘croc roll’ could lead to such a massive swing? 🐊🤨
With emotions running high over these officiating controversies, what do you reckon, fans? Are we being “let down,” or is it all part of the unpredictable nature of the game? Share your thoughts below! 👇🏾🔥
