🏉🏨 Hold onto your wallets, rugby fans! As soon as next year’s Six Nations fixtures were announced, Cardiff hotels hiked their prices sky-high! We’re talking up to £650 a night. 😱

If you’re planning to stay in Cardiff when Wales plays Ireland or England, be prepared for some serious price jumps. A night in Cardiff City Centre Hotel by Belvilla will set you back £417 on February 20th for the Wales v Ireland match. Just two weeks earlier, the same room is only £97! Over at Holland House, the price jumps are even more eye-watering—from £190 a couple of weekends before to a whopping £653 on match night.

The same goes for the March 6th game against England. Holland House rooms cost £528, and at Cardiff City Centre Hotel, you’re looking at £438 for a twin room. Twitter users are already fuming, with one saying they’re shocked by the rate surge just minutes after fixtures were announced.
This isn’t the first time Cardiff has seen prices soar during big events. Fans often feel frustrated by hotel costs around Six Nations weekends, sometimes opting to skip staying in the city altogether. Remember the Oasis tour? Room prices then hit up to £588 a night!
So, if you’re heading to Cardiff for these matches, book early or prepare to shell out. Hotel prices might just make the games look cheap in comparison! 🏉💸
